2010 marks Schwaller Insurance Agency's 55th year as one of Chicagolands most preferred insurance agencies. In 1955, Ray Schwaller, having spent a few years working at the company level, decided to begin his own insurance agency, aptly named "A. Raymond Schwaller Insurance." Since then he's made Schwaller Insurance Agency a dynamic part of the business and professional community.
Integrity: Ray believed then, as he does now, that he could deliver the highest quality financial protection from the best insurers with the highest levels of customer care, all at a competitive price. Over the years Ray and Schwaller Insurance Agency have earned a superior reputation for integrity, honesty and sincerity from clients and the insurance companies we represent.
Service: Schwaller Insurance Agency offers personal, commercial, life, health and a host of insurance services to a most loyal clientele, to whom Ray has always attributed success. We are proud to play a part in assuring the the safety, security and well being of those we serve.
Duty: We take the responsibility and the trust our clients place in us in the highest regard. Being a business, the following statement may sound contrarian: Simply selling you a policy is not our primary objective. Making sure you are aware of and have the proper protection in place is our duty. Ray's philosophy in business is straightforward: "Take care of your customers and your customers will take care of you."
Family: Ray has instilled these basic principles in the Schwaller Insurance Agency family of employees, and his own children. Today, Schwaller Insurance Agency is a family business serving the community. Ray, together with his daughter Nancy and his son Michael continue to serve our clients following the tenets of integrity, service, and duty.
Nancy is a 1987 University of Illinois at Champaign graduate. Nancy began working in the agency in high school as a file clerk. In college, Nancy continued working for the agency in an operations and accounting assistant capacity. Upon graduation, Nancy worked outside the agency for a few years garnering business experience she brought with her upon her return in 1990. Nancy is now an agency principal and the President of Schwaller Insurance Agency, Inc. and has her Certified Insurance Counselor designation.
Michael graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1991. Upon graduation, Mike worked for Safeco Insurance Company as an underwriter until he joined the agency in 1993. Mike also worked for the agency in high school and college starting as a file clerk, later becoming responsible for home inspections, developing proper replacement cost coverage. Mike, together with Nancy is an agency principal and corporate officer.
Our Staff:The Schwaller Insurance Agency family cosists of a phenomenal staff of full time, licensed insurance professionals who take pride in the products and quality of service provided to our clients. We are fortunate that the majority of our staff have been with us for more than ten years! As licensed professionals they are required to complete continuing education, keeping pace with the insurance marketplace and regulatory concerns.
